What Reiki is
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice developed in the early twentieth century by Mikao Usui. It is based on the idea of universal life energy and is often used to encourage relaxation and support the body's natural healing processes.
What a session may feel like
During a typical session, the client remains fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands gently on or just above different areas of the body. The experience is quiet, non-invasive, and shaped around the client’s comfort.
Many people describe warmth, tingling, calmness, or deep relaxation. Every experience is different, and there is no pressure to feel anything in a particular way.
Possible benefits
Potential benefits may include reduced stress, improved relaxation and sleep quality, emotional well-being, inner peace, and greater mental clarity. Reiki can be used as a complementary wellness practice and does not replace necessary medical care.
“Gentle stillness can give the mind and body space to soften, settle, and reconnect.
Take what feels useful. Let the rest settle gently.
